On the evening of November 8, the sixth Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area Tourism and Culture Festival and the launching ceremony of the 1310thanniversary ofthe excavation of Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area opened in Leshan, Sichuan. At the ceremony, the "Global Proposal for the Protection of the World Heritage Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area" was released.

The Proposal said that an open platform for the protection and research of Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area, a resource sharing and multilingual international research platform for Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area will be built. It is expected that more protection andresearch institutions, experts and scholars and people from all walks of life at home and abroad who care about the world heritage will participate in the protection,jointly tackle the problems of stone cultural relics protection, and use the pictures,videos and other resources to publicize the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area and explain its heritage value.

The protection of Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area has always been difficult, because it isthe largest stone cultural relic in the world and preserved in the open air, soglobal wisdom and strengthneeds to be gathered to solve this world problem.
