The Ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations is going to be held in Nishan, Qufu, in September this year. The theme of the forum is “Values Shared by Mankind and Community with a Shared Future for Mankind: Strengthening Exchanges and Mutual Learning Between Civilizations to Jointly Address Global Challenges.”12 topics are set under the theme, and forum papers will be solicited from a broad base of noted experts and scholars around the world.

So far, three overseas sub-forums of the Ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations have been held in Thailand, Austria, and Italy, respectively. Through academic dialogues and exchanges of talents, the sub-forums have provided an in-depth explanation of the value of excellent Chinese traditional culture in the development of current world civilizations and strengthened local people’s understanding of Chinese civilization.

It is understood that a suite of online and onsite activities will be held alongside the forum, including keynote speeches, dialogues in groups, high-level dialogues, high-level interviews, the interviews of diplomatic envoys to China, the presentation of the Confucius Prize for Literacy, the Grand Ceremony of Worship of Confucius, and the Global Sacrifice to Confucius, to further strengthen exchanges, deepen cooperation, and promote mutual learning among civilizations.
