At the invitation of Japan’s Kanazawa and South Korea’s Icheon, a delegation of Weifang City visited the two cities from April 23 to 30, aiming to deepen cultural exchanges and communication.

During their stay in Japan, the delegation visited the Japan-China Friendship Center and Tokyo Traditional Arts Museum. The two sides also exchanged and learned experience in the construction of creative cities, and had discussions on the implementation details of the "International Craftsman Hub Program", a cooperative project in the field of handicraft.

When they were in South Korea, the delegation met with the mayor of Icheon and attended the 37th Icheon International Ceramic Festival. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on the cooperation in field of handicraft art.

The visit received wide attention and welcome from all walks of life in Japan and South Korea, which deepened the communication and understanding between the two sides in pushing forward the construction of creative cities and promoting the integration of handicraft culture into daily life.
