On December 3, 2022, the forum “Research on the Common Values of Humanity Embodied in Fine Traditional Chinese Culture” was held online. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhong Weimin, editor-in-chief of the journal International Studies on Confucianism and dean of the history Department of Tsinghua University.

The International Confucian Association has for many years been committed to carrying forward the essence of Confucianism and other traditional cultural heritage and contributing to the progress of human civilization. The journal International Studies on Confucianism, jointly established by the Association and Tsinghua University in 2021, represents a concrete effort to act upon the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s momentous speech commemorating the 2,565th anniversary of the birth of Confucius. It is hoped that International Studies on Confucianism will keep up with the times and the cutting-edge international trend in leading academic innovation and cultural exchanges, to better spread awareness of the Chinese culture abroad.

In the keynote report and the themed forum, 26 delegates presented their ideas. The forum was co-sponsored by the International Confucianism Association and Tsinghua University, organized by the editorial office of International Studies on Confucianism, and co-organized by the Institute for National Governance and Global Governance and the School of Humanities of Tsinghua University.
