He pointed out that China's fine traditional culture has a long and profound history, containing ten major concepts such as" the world is for the common good, the people are the foundation of the nation, governing with morality, innovating the old, selecting officials based on their merits, harmony between man and nature, constant self-improvement, bearing responsibility with virtue, being trustworthy and harmonious with people, keeping close with the virtuous and being benevolent ". These ten concepts are almost entirely derived from Confucian classics which represent mainstream Confucianism. The Nishan Forum on World Civilizations undertakes the mission of deepening the studies of Confucianism and spreading Confucianism overseas. The Nishan Dialogue on Confucianism is a further endeavour to deepen the ideological depth of this year’s Forum, and a concrete practice of exploring the essence of China's excellent traditional culture.
