Different civilizations have developed relatively independently, and have gained different cognition, as they are isolated by mountains, oceans, deserts, and grasslands. Later on, due to the early Silk Road and wars, migration, trade contacts, voyages and various exchanges between human, people have developed different views on different civilizations.

Today, we have entered the era of "global village" and information civilization, in which we are able to observe different civilizations within the same period of time and conduct different interpretations of human civilizations. Themed on promoting dialogue among different civilizations, with the aim of promoting excellent Chinese culture and cultural exchanges between China and other countries, and building a community with shared future for mankind, the Forum is an academic, international and open platform of cultural exchanges. The Forum has played an prominent part in enhancing exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations in the world, promoting building a harmonious world, and strengthening the influence of Chinese culture in the international arena.
