The 5^th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations, themed on "Shared Future in Harmony: Harmony of Civilizations and a Community of Shared Future for Mankind" was held at Nishan Sacred Land, Qufu from September 26^th to 28^th, 2018. Three sub-topics were set up: the "Belt and Road" and the exploration of a community with shared future for mankind; responsibility: embracing a new era of human civilization; and the protection of cultural heritage and community with shared future for mankind. This forum received 134 academic thesis, which were included in the collection of papers. A total of 3 high-end dialogues, 4 keynote speeches, 1 thematic forum and 21 group dialogues were held. 263 experts and scholars from home and abroad participated in this forum. Among them, there were 91 scholars and guests from 25 countries, Hong Kong SAR, China, and Taiwan region of China. The research fields involved Confucianism, international politics, religion, and anthropology, which was the most extensive among the previous forums. The 5^th forum was held at the highest level with most participants among all previous forums.
