A celebration of culture: Qufu's Nishan Forum showcases classical arts
Date:2024-07-22The 10th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations opened in Shandong's Qufu, the hometown of Confucius, on July 10, bringing together nearly 400 international guests from 63 countries, both numbers marking record highs for the event.
On the evening of July 10, a music and dance performance, known asJinshengYuzhen, took place at the Nishan Sacred Land Scenic Area.
Combining classical Chinese art forms such as poetry, music, and dance with contemporary technological methods, the masterful performance promoted a refined lifestyle and celebrated Chinese traditional culture.
Jinsheng Yuzhen, an idiom which originated in Mencius's tribute to Confucius' great thought, is also the name of a stage show performed in Jining's Nishan Sacred Land Scenic Area. [Photo/VCG]
