The Beauty of Eastern and Western Clothing Forum, a sub-forum of the ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations, was held on Sept 17 in Milan, Italy during the Milan Fashion Week.

The sub-forum was organized by the Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies, the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFT), the Shandong Radio and Television Station, and the Shandong Fashion Association to boost exchanges on Chinese and Western fashion culture.

The organizing committee invited renowned university officials, researchers, designers, and industry insiders from China and Italy to deliver keynote speeches on the characteristics and applications of beauty in Eastern and Western fashion, as well as topics related to design, communication, and fashion promotion.

The event also included roundtable dialogues with artists, designers, and media influencers aimed at promoting the beauty of Eastern and Western clothing cultures.

Guo Chengyan, a senior official from the Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies, said that the sub-forum aims to showcase the common aesthetic pursuits of humanity, interpret the contemporary value of the beauty of Eastern and Western clothing, as well as build bridges for cultural exchange.

The third China International Fashion Design Competition (Milan) was also held during the sub-forum.
