Discussion about “Innovative Transformation and Development” at Nishan Forum on Arts: Literary and Artistic Creations in New Era Should Respond to “Questions on the World”

On September 26, the Nishan Forum on Arts under The Eighth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations was held on the sacred land of Nishan, Qufu.
Under the theme “highlighting the power of literature and art while sticking to innovative transformation and development,”the forum on arts is an important session of the 2022 China (Qufu) International Confucius Cultural Festival and The Eighth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations.
The event marks the hosting of the first Nishan Forum on Arts. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the forum seeks to expand on the important guidelines proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the opening ceremonies of the 11thNational Congress of the Chinese Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the 10th National Congress of the Chinese Writers Association.
According to the guidelines, writers and artists should center around the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as the theme of the era, unite as a powerful force in literary and art circles, and deepen their understanding of excellent traditional Chinese culture through the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. They should manage the development direction of excellent traditional Chinese culture from a broader perspective, demonstrate a spirit for a new era, and constantly create new glories of Chinese culture in the process of building a community with a shared future for mankind.During the preparation for the forum, more than 30 outstanding literary and artistic critics and young professionals attending the event wrote more than 30 excellent thematic papers with nearly 200,000 characters featuring new ideas and thoughts on the theme of the forum as part of their intelligent exploration into the question of how to promote the “innovative transformation and development”of culture in the new era.Edit：高华
