On September 26th, the Eighth Nishan Forum on World Civilization Nishan Forum on Literature was successfully held in Nishan, Qufu.

　　Nishan Forum on Literature is an important activity of the Eighth Nishan Forum on World Civilization, and also the first literary forum in Nishan Forum on World Civilization.

　　The theme of this forum is “literary diversity and common values of human". Literature is the language of the world, the carrier of values, and the bridge between different civilizations. Under the background of the great changes in the world unseen in a century, and in the process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, it is especially necessary to give full play to the role of literature—"writing to convey truth, writing to be noble, writing to express feelings, and writing to enlighten wisdom", from the perspective of human civilization to strengthen exchanges and learn from each other, and build the consensus of values. “Writing to convey truth” means firmly bearing the common values of all mankind to carry forward the pursuit of common values of all mankind of "peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom" through literary works with great insights and touching feelings. “Writing to be noble” is a vivid interpretation of the spiritual characteristics of Chinese civilization of “stressing benevolence, valuing grassroots, keeping integrity, upholding justice, pursuing harmony and seeking common ground" to show the beauty of morality, faith and lofty ideals through works full of righteousness. “Writing to express feelings” means expressing the sincere feelings of our society to inspire people's empathy and sympathy through works touching the heart and soul. “Writing to enlighten wisdom” means reflecting profoundly the laws concerning the development of human society and the common challenges and the importance of the idea of building a community with shared future for us all in the new era by enlightening works.
