On the morning of September 26th, the Exhibition of “Chinese Handicrafts · Shandong Handicrafts” was opened in Nishan Sacredland in Qufu. The exhibition aims to implement the important spirit of "creative transformation and innovative development", give full play to the significant advantages of Shandong traditional handicrafts and cultural resources, take the theme of the cultural self-confidence leading the revitalization of traditional crafts, present the critical role of “Shandong Handicrafts” in promoting the high-quality development of the cultural and creative industries in Shandong Province and building a new benchmark of cultural “creation and innovation” through the platform of Nishan Forum on World Civilization, tell the story of Shandong Province and show the elegance of "Shandong Handicrafts".

　　Through the colorful expression of traditional culture, the handicrafts make the cultural heritages on the vast land “come alive”. With the exquisite handicrafts, the exhibition shows the natural wisdom and lifestyle of different countries, ethnic groups and regions with different cultural backgrounds, which can be explained that “All living creatures grow together without harming each other. Ways run parallel without interfering with one another”. The main exhibition section “Shandong Handicrafts” is divided into 9 parts including “Gifts from the Master”, “The Family of Scholars”, “The Works of Lu Ban and Mozi " and “The Sound of Elegant Music”. The "Chinese Handicrafts" exhibition section selects representative handicrafts from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Jiangsu, Guizhou and other cities, showing the overall appearance of “Chinese Handicrafts”. The “International Handicrafts” section selects representative handicrafts from countries along the “Belt and Road”, major European countries, Japan and Korea, and other East Asian countries to present the development of “International Handicrafts”. The traditional handicraft works such as Chinese cake, gourd pyrography, dough modelling, walnut painting, shell painting, kites, paper cutting, Lu embroidery and Lu brocade weaving skills in the “Prefect Craftsmanship, Craftsmanship Experience” feed the guests’ sights and make them experience the unique charm of handicraft through history.
