Specifically, the province will strive to get core socialist values integrated into all aspects of economic and social development, markedly enhance the influence of fine traditional culture, better protect cultural relics across the board, perfect the public cultural service system, give better play to the strategic pillar industry position of cultural tourism, and make the province a world-renowned cultural tourism destination.

According to the Suggestions, "the guiding status of Marxism in the realm of ideology should be upheld and strengthened, the cultural development work done in line with the core socialist values, a socialist atmosphere with an advanced level of culture and ideology fostered and promoted, and the creative transformation and development of fine traditional culture sped up in a bid to pool the strong spiritual strength to make the province a modern power in the new era." According to a person in charge of the Publicity Department of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, it demonstrates our firm confidence in core socialist values to adhere to and advance the cultural confidence backed by fine traditional Chinese culture, rooted in revolutionary culture and guided by an advanced socialist culture. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Shandong Province will continue to make exploratory efforts to pass on traditions of revolution, creatively transform and develop fine traditional culture and strengthen the construction of civilization practice centers in the new era, and thoroughly practice the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in the province.

The construction of public cultural facilities will be enhanced, cultural people-benefit projects implemented in a new way, public cultural activities carried out in an extensive manner, and more public libraries, museums and cultural centers built to cover more areas and be betted used. The "Creation, Singing, Performance, Shooting and Comment by the Masses" activities will be held successively and continuously to bring into full play the initiatives and creativity of the masses to take part in cultural development. The Quality Improvement Project of Literary and Artistic Works in Shandong Province will be implemented to deliver more literary and artistic works with profound ideas, exquisite art and excellent workmanship.
