On the morning of June 16th, the opening ceremony of the 19th China(Qufu)Lu Ban Cultural Festival and the 2531st anniversary ceremony of Lu Ban's birth was held in Qufu, Shandong Province. Representatives from construction industry associations and enterprises from various cities in Shandong Province, as well as scholars researching Lu Ban culture, participated in thiscommemorative event.

During the opening ceremony, the award ceremony for the 2024Jining city“Skills Champion”vocational skills competition - the "Lu Ban Cup" for the construction industry (ancient architecture category) was held, where two outstanding craftsmen were awardedfor winning thetitle of "National Technical Expert".

Subsequently, guests and descendants of Lu Ban paid their respects and offered flowers to the statue of Lu Ban, jointly paying homage to him. After the ceremony, participants visited the special exhibition of ancient architectural paintings, and the Lu Ban culture exhibition.

It is reported that this festival, with focuses on promoting the spirit of craftsmanship, inheriting Lu Ban culture, uniting the forces of the Lu Ban School and promoting the high-quality development of the ancient architecture industry, includes a carefully designed series of activities such as ancient architectural vocational skills competition, the opening ceremony of the Lu Ban CulturalFestival, and a seminar on the protection and urban renewal of Qufu as a famous historical and cultural city.
